PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION

Richard Harvey is a versatile linebacker with range and experience who has played in 120 league games in nine NFL seasons.

1998:

•  Starter at outside linebacker in all 16 league games in first year with the Raiders
    after signing as free agent prior to season opener
•  Had outstanding season placing second on team in tackles with 89, along with
    four sacks, one interception and six passes  defensed
•  Posted a season high 11 tackles on October 10 versus San Diego along with
    two passes defended
•   Had third double digit tackle performance on the season making a team high
    10 stops, including a sack on November 29 versus Washington
•  Credited with first interception of the year, second in this career in regular
     season finale versus Kansas City

1997:

•  Played in 14 games, starting 13 for the New Orleans Saints
•  Tied for seventh on the team in tackles, with 50
•  Recorded three sacks for 11 yards, one interception for seven yards,
    six passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery
•  Had three stops on special teams
•  Interception came versus Seattle on November 16, when he registered two passes defensed
•  Posted season-best seven tackles versus San Francisco on September 14th

1996:

•  Played in 14 games including seven starts, five at strong side linebacker
•  Recorded 44 tackles (37 solo) to go with two sacks for a loss of 20 yards
•  Had a season-high 11 tackles versus Atlanta
•  Posted three special teams tackles

1995:

•  Appeared in all 16 games with 14 starts
•   Did not open the season as the starter, but by week 3 he earned a starting assignment that he kept for the
     remainder of the year
•  Led team with a career-high 112 tackles
•   Recorded a pair of sacks, seven passes defensed and a forced fumble on the season

1994:

•  Played in all 16 games including one start at left linebacker
•  Overall he tallied 21 tackles with two passes defensed to go with six stops on special teams
•   Had season-high nine tackles in win over San Diego

1993:

•  Appeared in 15 games for Buffalo, mostly on special teams
•  Had eight stops and a forced fumble on special teams
•  added one tackle on defense and two on special teams in three play-off games

1992:

•  Tallied six tackles in 11 games in first season with Buffalo
•  Was inactive for five contests 

1991:

•  Waived by New England September 2, the day after the season opener

1990:

•  Played in all 16 games including nine starts for the Patriots
•  Finished the year with 52 tackles
•  Recorded a season-high 11 tackles versus Washington

1989:

Selected by Buffalo Bills in 11th round (305th player taken) of 1989 draft and spent entire season on injured reserve

COLLEGE:

•  Three-year letterman, three-year starter at Tulane
•  Concluded his four year career with 313 tackles and four interceptions
•  Sports Illustrated Defensive Player of the Week after recording 15 tackles versus Kansas State 
•  Led Tulane in tackles all three varsity seasons
•   Graduated in Computer Information Systems
