March 27, 2000 Dear Coaches: Richard Harvey, Linebacker for the Oakland Raiders and founder of eye-Sports,Inc. would like for your high school athletes to participate in our football combine. The combine will be held on May 6, 2000 at Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center/Park in Oakland, CA. The combine is designed to provide Bay Area high school students with a forum to showcase their athletic ability so various universities and colleges throughout the country can view them on the eye-Sports web site. I am committed to helping athletes achieve a higher education that will prepare them for a more challenging and successful future. The concept of eye-Sports, Inc. is a personal dream, which stems from the geographical limitations that were imposed on me as a high school student athlete. Hard work in the classroom and on the field allowed me to earn a full scholarship to Tulane University, leading to a career in the NFL. If this program had been available, I feel confident that other Division I schools would have recruited me. As a result of these limitations, I feel it necessary to highlight the student athleteÕs talents outside their geographical locations. Our web site will include information on obtaining scholarships, test taking strategies, nutrition, coaching/training tips, and much more. The Richard Harvey and eye-Sports, Inc. Football Combine will consist of body composition, motivational speaking, warm-ups and stretching, breakout groups and various sports drills. The activities are led by a number of top professional football coaches and NFL players who have agreed to donate their time. Each participating athlete will receive: Six months of exposure on the eye-Sports web site, All Day Combine, Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Combine Camp T-shirt, Water bottle, and a Cap. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact us toll-free at 1-888-969-0052. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, |
